When you buy something from our online shop you're helping to save threatened species and protect the environment. We donate 30% of our profits to environmental protection and conservation projects worldwide. We support chimpanzee conservation, Bush Heritage Australia, and the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society. Looking back...
Now that 2007 has come and gone, we'd like to take a moment to reflect on all the support we've received from our wonderful customer base. Every one of you, by purchasing a Fullystoked product, has contributed to the successes of not just us, but the organizations we support. Here's what your money is going towards!
Bush Heritage Australia is a non-profit organization that exists to protect Australia's unique flora, fauna, and habitats. The newest development has been the purchase and protection of Yourka, a 43500 hectare area in far-north Queensland. "Yourka is a gem and the diversity of its wildlife is astonishing. It's 43500 hectares of grassy woodlands, rocky escarpments and waterways will now be a secure home to these species, which may include up to 23 that are listed as threatened. And this property has values greater than jus tits threatened ecosystems and species. Its importance as refuge for those animals and plants affected by climate change will be borne out in the years to come." -Excerpt from the Summer 2007 Newsletter. The WDCS (Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society) is another organization we are fully stoked to support! To date, they have secured and partnered a ground-breaking agreement to protect dolphins and whales in the Pacific Islands Region, and negotiated an action plan to conserve whales, dolphins and their habitats in this region. The Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) is a non profit organization founded on the belief everyone has the ability to make a positive difference. Built on the scientific research of Jane Goodall. The JGI does more than just promote the preservation and understanding of the Great Apes, they also work to create a global network for humanitarians everywhere.
